2020 Rocky Rumble – The Revenge

 

Do you belong to a group of disc golfers that believe that your ‘gang’ is better than every other gang?
Well here’s your opportunity to prove it.
The 2020 Rocky Rumble is a PDGA sanctioned tournament that will double as a showdown to determine which ‘gang’ is the best.
Come down, nominate your ‘gang’ if you have one (you don’t need one to play).  Whoever wins the day will have bragging rights.

Details

What’s the same?

The tournament will run like a normal PDGA tournament.

Players will play in their normal division (MPO, MA1, FA1 etc).

What will be different?

Before the competition, players will be asked if they would like to nominate affiliation with a ‘gang’ of Perth.

These are the loose playing groups that have organically formed in Perth.

Examples are: Turkeys, Mundy Mob, SOS, Rocky/Mandurah Crew, CFWA, Night Riders, 78s Disc Golf Cartel If you have another ‘gang’ that you would like to nominate, please let me know.

You can only nominate one ‘gang’ to be affiliated with and each ‘gang ‘ can only consist of 10 total (I will evenly split them up if there are more than 10).

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO NOMINATE A ‘gang’ IN ORDER TO PLAY – Lone wolves are welcome!

Cost

Amateur divisions $45.00 ($40 for Perth Disc Golf Club members).

MPO $65.00 ($60 for Perth Disc Golf Club members).

+$5 for anyone who pays on the day of the tournament

PDGA Scoring

Scoring for the tournament will follow the usual format (lowest overall score wins).

Gang Scoring

You must have at least 3 members participating to be eligible for the shield.

Your best 5 scores will be added up. **

** If you have less than 5 members then your worst score will be added again plus 5% for. This means if you have 3 players then 4th will be worst score +5% and 5th will be worst score +10%

Team with the lowest combined score wins!
