As Monday morning sets in and the cleanup crew gets to work, the weather (which gave us a treat over the weekend) couldn’t hold off any longer. Even after 4 days in the bush, nowhere near enough showers, a terrible diet and now getting saturated; I have a good feeling of satisfaction after the event.
A lot of people in true PDGC form rallied to make everyone’s job manageable and fun and for that I salute you all.
Late last night around a dismal campfire we were spitballing new and cool ideas for following years and I was getting exited! Which can be hard after a big event. But the smooth nature and help we receive will ensure that we will continue to hold events and be bigger and better in future years.
Congratulations to Dave Bandy on his win, everyone who won and placed in their divisions, Eastern Staters for making the trip and hope the rest of you all still had fun.
I mentioned most of my thanks in the windup but a special re-mention to my Dad, George and my wife Dhalia for all their help and support as there are always extra behind the scenes work and months of prep… love ya both.
This year will add good memories to the building folklaw…. PDGO2018 !!!
