We are happy to run you through the rules of the game on the day – but it definitely helps that you understand the general rules beforehand. See the official rules of disc golf for the most up to date rules.

Handicaps are based on the median of 5 rounds. We will need 5 rounds of 18 holes at Rob Hancock Memorial Disc Golf Course before your handicap will be used. You can submit a signed scorecard by a Perth Disc Golf Club member for it to be official. This can either be done by playing in league days or by playing by the official rules in a casual round with a PDGC member.

Competitions

Outside of league days, the PDGC also run a number of other competitions throughout the year. Typically you will need to register a few weeks in advance and there will most likely registration fees. PDGC members will receive discounts on these entry fees, so it is worth having the membership.

Competitions are split into divisions which are based on your disc golf rating. If you are unsure of your skill level based on these ratings, just enter in the Novice (MA4) division and give it a go! Each division will have a winner and generally a prize.
